I'm after a pair of summer boots but not wanting to spend more than £60 (told wife £40!!!) waterproof ones would be good. Any recommedations or website bargains out there? size 9/43. Cheers

Not sure you will be seen in Millets mate, but I tell everyone the same thing.. bought these 18 months ago, done about 140 of the Wainwright fells in them, and bought wife a pair.. might not be light weight enough for ya, or breathable for ya.. but I love em..

Have you tried TK Max? I bought a pair of Hi-Tec Ascent II's, current season, down from £80 to £40. eVent waterproof lining, vibram sole, and comfy as a pair of slippers :)

Downside of TK Max is you have to keep checking regularly to see what they have in....

i have a pair of the older peak gtx boots that fgl mentions...before they put the vibram sole on.

they are cracking boots and lasted me ages before i switched to leather boots. i still wear them when walking on the beach etc as i dont want to knacker my other boots.

might also be worth checking the clearance section of gaynors.co.ukas they usually have some good reductions on boots

I'll second the dreaded TKMaxx. The often stock Garmont which make a very good selection of boots (some of which were sold under the KSB name I believe). Anyway, I bought these for £19 and they have been a great all-rounder.

The Peaks at £55 are a serious bargain. For some reason they didn't fit my feet when I tried them but I've heard good things about them.

Try Hi Tecs from Millets for that budget.
