I bought a Choktoi and wish I never had, it's only of use in winter, has no hood and the pockets let cold air straight through.
I'd recommend a Furtech Talon it might seem overkill when you look at the picture of it being used on top of a mountain but I use mine for birdwatching.
It's superbly soft, proof against anything, has a hood that also can make a high collar but has excellent venting for use on milder days, doesn't require much underneath to keep you warm - very good all round jacket and the price is really good.
Furtech is unisex as far I know, the first I bought was too small but it was quickly exchanged for a better fit.
Another idea is a Paramo Tiempo has a good length for covering the hips and is much more practical and comfortable than the Choktoi.
