For me, the southwest coastal path has been a favourite place to explore since childhood. Now age 41, I’m back living in Devon, re-acquainting myself with familiar footpaths and exploring some new ones further up the coast. In particular, the South Devon stretch between Torquay and Berryhead and more recently trekking from Meadfoot in Torquay, along past Babacombe & Petitor Downs, Watcombe and Maidencombe and onto Shaldon. A remarkable stretch of coastal views, wooded glades and spectacular scenery in such a small amount of coastline This area now known as ‘The English Riviera’ with its many coves and wooded walks that hug the coastline, it has never tired of being explored by generations of tourists and local villagers alike. And it looks like there will be many more paying interest in the area but with their hand-held Sat-Nav GPS systems firmly in hand. Yes, the coast path is truly digital these days. I’ve just tried a DVD walking guide called The South West Coast Path and being so familiar with the area, was naturally interested in having a look. (www.virtualbookcompany.co.uk). A really useful bit of kit with loads of related info, virtual tours and brilliant 3D visual map technology that really put the perspective into considerations when planning a ramble. Anyhow all of the supplied info is downloadable onto portable devices so the whole South West coastline is more accessible than ever before and truly digital these days. Watch out back-packers, the digital brigade are definitely on there way, and without a map in sight!

http://www.clock-work.co.uk/contact.phpI see you're listed as working in web solutions for the company who produced the web site for virtualbookcompany... which is a bit of a coincidence Anyway, I'm sure there's genuine interest in the guide, so you could always just send us a news release instead of posting faintly ridiculous stuff on the forum. I mean, 'watch out back-packers'...

Now, you see, their 'clever' banner had me confused; I thought it was a company called "Clock Workmar Keting", some sort of Germanic consortium of spamphletters (along the lines of Scheister Dorkmann Kleinmund).
(Do you like the word I've just made up; 'spamphlet': a junk mail leaflet...)

A beautiful word there, Captain!! I do hope the virtualbookcompany's offering is written in a slightly more digestable prose style than the artificial bumpf provided by Mr Evans though.

Hopefully, they know the difference between their, there and they're, too.. Quite. I'm also intrigued as to why "Evans" has a capital 'E' and "howard" seems to be lacking a capital 'H'. Perhaps mR evanS could enlighten us, as I'm sure he must be reading this thread?
