Maybe they have two greens? The green in the shop on the Glamaigs was a dull jade green and very nice. Robin Hood / Irish green is hideous and does nothing for my complexion

The swatch they sent me only had the very bright 'Robin Hood' green. I think this might be the only green currently available in the lighter weight, beachcomber outer fabric.

The other colours they had were black, navy and brick red. I went for navy.

A Glamaig with chest pockets & no handwarmer ones, in the sort of olive green the Velez comes in would have me fumbling in my wallet for my credit card.

I'm with the chairman on this one.  I was thinking of having chest pockets - bit like the Barbour Cowan Commando.  Get it right and there's a forces contract heading their way.

If you want pockets within pockets (bit like a Tardis?) I am sure, having spoken to the guys, they would accommodate you.

The top Glamaig on their site that looks olive is the grey one. The bottom one is the dull green. The pic of a Sligachan is also the dull jade I think. The swatches on the site look like Kelly Green which is hideous.

I think they occasionally run out of colours. They didn't have the grey when I ordered my Glamaig, so I went for stealth black. It looks very smart indeed in black, but the Glamaig in grey is a thing of beauty.

Don't know why they don't show a piccy of a Glamaig with the hood unrolled on the website, given that its much better than the Velez and might boost sales a wee bit.

The Glamaig that MoS had sent for inspection last week was definitely not 'Robin Hood' green. It sounds like the dull jade that NPC talks about. It was a very nice colour, and it was definitely the lightweight outer fabric.

Btw, we weren't entirely convinced by the hood. It looked very good and neat but we wondered if it would enclose the face sufficiently for full protection? And the peak was stiffened but not wired. I know you could always get them to put a different hood on it.....

My Glamaig hood is definitely wired and reminds me of my old Berghaus lightning (not what I would call neat). Maybe they've changed the design.

Ive just received my glamaig jacket and i have to say its definately an all year round jacket. I was very impressed with the m2m cut and colour and quality throughout. ykk zips and a first for me... ykk poppers, which all lined up perfectly ( very nice ).

I also have to add that the service from Neil and Helen at Cioch was first class too. I mainly spoke to Neil who was very helpfull and was more than happy to make alterations to suit.

Anyone looking for a m2m bit of kit, look no further. Their service and their kit is the best ive seen. I have lots of kit and always look for attention to detail and overall finish and feel aswell as performance and Cioch tick all the boxes.
