Got mine for £51 from Amazon April 2010. Excellent tent. Note they are £81 now!

I bought one of these - great little tents and not too heavy, tried mine in Yorkshire for the weekend and stayed nice on dry despite the weather.

I have used the Avior x2 Wild Camping on top of the Walna Scar road where the winds blew a gale all night. The Tent easily survived although the fly and inner tent made a lot of noise in the wind which prevented sleep, and had the wind gotten stronger, I was worried about the material ripping.

All in all for the Money, this is a great tent; however if your looking to do multiday treks then this becomes a bad choice of tent.

Its not light enough compared to other "one/two man tents of similar size (leaving cost to one side), the Terra Nova Solar Photon 2 (0.975grams and its £430). I have weighed this tent with all component parts individually and the total weight is 2.54kg, not the 2.45kg it is marketed at.It can of course be re packaged and the vestibule ground sheet can be removed which would reduce the weight by maybe 250 grams.

It doesn't have the usable space vs weight of a Hilleberg Jannu 2man tent (only 360grams heavier although the cost must be a consideration here, <£100 verses <£700) but the Jannu has four or five times the head room and usable space of the Avior x2.

Ultimately this is a great Tent if price is an issue and your support camping. Anything else then very real benefits are gained from spending more money.

I wanted to like this tent, but it wasn't for me, I still give it three and a half stars out of five though as I think it has its place in the campsite.
