With the effects of global warming happening all about us now, can we any longer afford to just assume from the experiences of the past, regarding when we will or won't any longer be needing to use such jackets in the year, now still hold true today?We are indeed set to become a thoroughly generally colder country overall, are we not!
Trevor, depending on what you read, we are also going to have a Mediterranean climate within 50 years, but I'm neither a meteorologist nor a psychic. All I can say with some certainty I won't be wearing my down jacket from May until at least October. I went for a wee single nighter on the Cobbler last night, camped at about 600m and I pitched my tent in my running T-shirt & shorts.
