Kayland Action boots
Any owners out there?

I went to Peglers in Arundel to try on some "dual purpose" boots that would suit both long-distance trekking and British winter mountaineering (though no climbing per se).  I came away with a pair of Kayland Action boots, in snazzy nubuck w. eVent liner, which seem to fit the bill.  They feel good on the foot and are well constructed with quite a technical spec - certainly more of a modern lightweight mountain boot than a traditional walking boot - but I can't find them on Kayland's website even though Peglers took delivery only a month ago.

I'd love to hear from any OM members with experience of Kayland Actions.  It would be a pity if this model were a limited edition, as it seems to fit a niche that's not all that well covered by other boot-makers.

Don't own Kayland Action, though have the Contact 1000s and love 'em.

Brief mention of Actions in this OM thread from a couple of years ago though!!

Yes, thanks Kate.

I've heard/ read only good reports from Kayland owners so the company must be/ have been on the right track.  From the OM discussion thread you referred to, the Actions were on the market two and a half years ago, so maybe they are now discontinued?  Kayland designers seem to have adopted a weight-watcher doctrine and the product range on their website features a lot of fabric.  Having said that, the Actions (all-leather uppers) are certainly no hippos.
