Renting Crampons/Ice Axe in Lake District
Any stores do this?

Hope to get to the Lakes this weekend so I might be needing an ice axe and crampons if there is any snow.

I didn't have a problem renting them in Aviemore at Nevisport last month. Just wondering if anyone knows if the outdoor shops do this is the Lake District??

Thanks,

Neil.

Summitreks do, but they've started selling theirs off as the season has pretty much finished up here now (crampons £35, some brand new, bargin) we've got a bit of snow left up here from the flurries we had yesterday but i reckon we'll be lucky to still have it by the weekend as wetter weather is moving in and is meant to get a wee bit warmer!! eitherway hope you have a good weekend!

I know it's probably a bit late, but George Fisher in Keswick provides a hire service for boots and other kit.
