Hi - anyone out there have an Infinity jacket? Not the lite version but the 133g Primaloft version which I think is now discontinued. Just looking for some feedback on its fit, hood (think it is detachable?) and warmth. Looking for a general outdoor jacket through the winter for walking and general kicking about in.

I have the very useful Infinity Light Gilet (linked to my review) and have taken a reasonably close look at the Infinity (and an even more butch version which I think was called the Infinity Extreme?).

First impressions : very warm, usual Berghaus sizing, hood wasn't huge (probably wouldn't go over a helmet). Somewhat bulky pack size in comparison to down but the norm for a PL of that thickness. Overall a well thought out product if you need something cosy, especially if you have found it at a good price. If it fits, I'd say you can't go too wrong. But if you run hot then you'll probably find it only good for stops & 'kicking around'.

I have the Infinity which is part of the Extreme range.I wear mine kicking about, walking the dog and on the hill.It is very cosy with just a tshirt underneath even in near freezing and wind.Put a light fleece underneath and it would cope with most cold we will encounter. The hood is terrific and the jacket repels light to medium rain showers very well.

I think it is a good looking jacket.

The fit on me is great,5ft 9in light build and Medium lets me get a couple of good layers  underneath,i have tried it with my rain shell underneath and it was fine when stopped but you would cook if attempting to walk any distance like this.

 I would recommend.

I have one also, got mine from F&T  for sixty five quid, not really used mine in anger yet.

My view is the jacket look's the buisness, mine is the large size and i'm 42 chest

 my montane quickfire fit's underneath.

The hood is pretty good, insulated with a large peak and fully adjust's in all directions to make it any size u want including a volume adjust on the back of the hood and the hood is removable, also the front of the hood covers your face well.

The pockets are three on the front and one inside the jacket, and it has a storm flap on the back of the main zip.

Shoulder's  have a thicker hard wearing material on them and on the cuff's.

A stuff sack comes with it, with a one end for the jacket and the other for the hood.

I have no  idea how much insulation is in the hood or the arm's after a search on google i could not find the information. anyone?

Primaloft one is the best they say, so should be warm.

The jacket is well thought out with nothing missing in the design and i'm sure

i think it will do it's job very well when needed.

Only con is its not a lightweight jacket.

Another thumbs up for the infinity. Really noticed the difference when stopped for a breather when up in Scotland in January. A bit on the bulky side, but worth it (esp at £55)!
