I used my ME dreamcatcher 300 in the lakes in Feb - was fine with a few spare layers.  Numbers wise if -7 is as far as you go would you be better with one of the lighter/cheaper options from cumulus.  given you can layer up inside the bag as well to add warmth?

Dave, back to the tent and the point of wanting to put another camper in from time to time... how do you think the Soulo will do for that?  Take the inner down and use it single skin, be very intimate, plenty of room, forget it, or what?

Pete.

Hi Pete, you could just about get two in without the inner but I think that 2 in the tent with the inner up is a no no

havent tried it for real though....

i am going to try the taut line hitch with 3 extra loops.i cant shift it with all my weight behind it.it still slides up and down easily enough though when adjusting.obviously its not as easy as adjusting with the linelok but may be worth it in stupid winds.the other option is to take the tent down.
