Going to spend my money by bedtime unless you say otherwise

on the OMM Villian 45+10RL here

Anyone think of a reason why not?

The money is burning a hole.

Finding it cheaper elsewhere could be a fair reason

I'd want to see the  Lightwave Fastpack 40  (or Fastpack 50 if you are tall) first. Same weight - the Villain is also 1050gm, unless you cut bits of it off.

Surprisingly, the back length of the Fastpack 50 is only 52cm, compared to the Villain's 55cm, so it probably isn't for tall people.

It seems that Lightwave are only catering for Ant and Dec sized people these days.

An addition to my first question, would I see an advantage by paying the little extra for the MSC version.

The pack will be used for overnight/weekend backpacking

Only got mine yesterday so not had chance to use it yet, but the MSC thingy looks like a little bit of genius.

I don't think there are many left in stock at most places, so if you really want one I wouldn't dally around too much

Its a good price at Hikelite but when I phoned them earlier today they had none in stock. They did offer to order one but bearing in mind that the Villian seems to be in short supply at the present time,I'm not entirely 100% convinced that they would be able to get hold of one.

Thanks for that TW

msc version is included in the pack weight of 1050g, remove if you dont need, or use as compression. great for keeping all in pack nice and tight. aalso you could reduce weight furthe by cutting off excess lengths of strapping, and the gear loops if not needed. replace the plataforma back support with their own folding mat, then use a short mat for sleeping on plus the omm mat for your legs. double weight saving. magic!
