Starting out?

Hi

I've been looking at sleeping bags and need a bit of advice about sizes.

Is the shoulder measurement a measure of width or a diameter?  I've got a bust of 132cm, what size bag would I need for a comfortable fit?

Has anyone got any recomended types/brands in a synthetic range?

I am no expert on these matters but i have found the shoulder width to be more important,there are many other things to consider though some people prefer a little more room at the expence of a little weight but the closer the fit the more thermally efficient it is.

The best thing is always to go to a good store and try out the sleeping bags in the store  it may seem odd but a good store wont mind and its definataly worth it in the long run.

Also have you decided if you are in need of a down or synthetic bag and what temperature ranges it is to cover.
