Has anyone used the Berghaus Verden 65 + 10 rucksack? Seems to be one of the only Berghaus rucksacks that isn't in the Reviews section. Its entry level but looks decent enough. Any user feedback on it would be appreciated.

Ive had the 65 Verden out trekking for the month. Its a great, strong, durable and inexpensive pack. However if you can afford to spend the extra money on the Bioflex packs, like the C7+10 then do. It will save your back on steep terrain, my only other bug bear is that the zips down the length of the front of the pack and the side pockets tend to break which is a pain, I don't know whether this is just my pack or all of the but they split when putting gear in.
Seems very heavy at 2.7kg.

Cheers for the replies. I like the idea of getting to your stuff from the front of the rucksack but if the zips aren't up to it thats disappointing, especially from Berghaus. The Independent Newspaper has recommended it recently tho...

As for the weight, 2.7kg is getting heavy but its officially listed as (a marginally lighter) 2.36kg. Ok in the shops in comparison to similar packs.

Other options were the Lowe Alpine Wilderness which is too expensive and heavy but its got a great front entry system and the Macpac Torlesse (heavy again).

Has anyone seen/used the Eurohike Revolution 70 rucksack? I know Eurohike hasn't got the best rep but it looks decent as a budget option and its slightly lighter (2.2kg). There's a more spacious front entry but the zips look less durable than on the Berghaus and the roll closure could get annoying. It'd be useful for the Gear section to review the cheaper brands to see if they're worth considering. Maybe the fact that they don't is a hint?!
