Hi, I am trying to get back into backpacking after a lapse of eighteen years. I have very little gear left, but might possibly re equip via army surplus as time in the military educated me to what is pretty good gear and being a cash strapped student, I am looking for quality.
I do however have an old black and red Berghaus Red Point back pack, approximately sixty litres single compartment hard foam back. Though I have used this pack for travelling and day hikes, I want to know if it is considered suitable for wild country back packing, any ideas, anyone know anything about this pack, any oldies out there ?
