hi, can get a pair o alpha's 4 less than half price, in my size & fit. i need a pair o double boots to do treakin peak in nepal- mera or island-, can they do the job? or would i need an other boot? thanks in advance, paul

What type of trekking will you be doing, I think the alphas are more of an expedition boot, intended for crossing ice fields to reach high peaks and the like, more a serious mountaineering boot rather than a hiking boot. Even if the trekking you will be doing is more serious than normal I would expect a 4 season boot like the mantra would be more suitable. However best to check with the company you are going with, they would be best able to advise you on the correct kit for the terrain and conditions you will be facing.

to do the "trekking peak" i'm thinking about doing, all the sites i've looked at ask for  plastic boots, as will be going 6000m+.
