I use a 450ml ti mug as it fits over a bike bottle perfectly, means I can have a brew on the hill without taking a bigger mug. Alternatively in camp it gives me an extra pot for making hot drinks if I'm already using my other pot (Mitymug)

Regarding the hot to touch/hot to taste, I dislike those insulated mugs as I can't tell how warm the tea/coffee/soup is going to be so I am very cautious about taking the first sip, I find the ti mug similar in that respect, the lip of the mug can be merely warm even though the liquid in it is skelpin'

Ti Frypan. This got very quickly onto pans and mugs in general with the usual

blurbs of weight and versatility. I used Ali for many ,many yrs. we used to buy cheap

Woolworth pans and remove the handles so they would nest. We made our own stoves all types of fuels. We ate more burnt food than cooked due to thin cheap Ali pans but boy could we boil water.?

Years later its the same problem with Ti pans. Ive had trangia again for many years, it

doesnt burn [much]because the heat spread over a larger area and with less force.

I moved to stainless steel some years ago, nothing stick to it, a handfull of grass cleans

it ,try that with Ali after the Bothy fire, or some crap fuel when thats all ther is, as for

weight the difference in two pans plus mug is 3ozs. Buy a mug with a rolled lip[edge]

any type, it won't burn . Can I just say I backpack 2000Mls. a year and this OUTDOORSmagic is the best sight for Gen. I've found. Thanks.
