I have a few compression sacks including a nice new pod --but i cannot find anybody who does a compression sack that creates a sausage shape rather than a dumpy drum shape.

The objective is to get my sleeping back compressed into as narrow a tube as possible to lie alongside my tent -- in an ortleib bag.

Looking vfor something that is 500m long and will start at approx 140mm diamqter and compress down to 500m long x 75mm dia --get the ide a/

Anybody know who makes such a thing ?

I have an exped waterproof compressable sack that does just that - the compression straps run round the circumference and not lengthwise.

Got it in a shop in Chester....dont know if the shop is still there though

If you really want something that's spot-on, then anyone who's handy with a sewing machine can run you up the goods in a matter of minutes. I wanted a long and very narrow sausage-shaped cover for a Go-Lite brolly. I had an ideal piece of material and took it round the corner to a friend with a sewing machine. I thought she'd tell me to pop back in a week's time, but she did the job there and then, in front of my eyes, neatly trimmed and double-stitched.

Always handy to have a good local 'seamstress'

Or so it would "seam", at least according to this "thread"! "Tailor" made stuff always the best "make", or "sew" they say!
