I picked up a couple the other day when I was in Cotswolds. I tried one in the house and it seemed easy enough and worked well. It was tasty too. For 300 gms complete it could be handy for those hastily packed packed trips when you get a sudden weather window. I would probably supplement it if I'd been working hard all day though.
Yepm they are standard issue in eth police for OPs. They are a standard boil in the bag meal with a heater pouch. They work well, but stink, so no using it in confined areas!!
Y ou soon get fed up of them but as an emergency meal in your daypack if your notcarrying a stove very handy. But £6!!!
Aye, I wouldnt use it as a replacement for a stove and proper meal but I was pleasantly surprised with the one I tried in the house.
I can think of a few trips where I went without dinner because I just couldnt be arsed with the faff of getting the stove on and watching it I was so tired. I might've used one of these.
I reckon I'll pop one in my day sack in the winter months.
