Hello everybody.

I need some advices on the best garnment who will fit with my fuera smock.

I project a trekking in Scotland for April/ May, I expect numerous shower and few hard rain episode.

I think the Trekker hoodie suit my needs, adding waterproofness and insulation but not to much. For long period of rain I will have a rain cape with me.

The other option is the summit hoodie, much more wateproofed but, i fear, too hot for this time of the year.

Do you think the first option is a sensible choice ?

Ok for the "waterproofness" part, I would say more a " buying time" capacity before using other equipment against rain.
Isn't that strange the hood is the weak part ? Usually it's the shoulders who are the first to let humidity pass.
Never tryed a umbrella, i have heard it's used but it seem difficult to use to me especially in windy condition.

I've got two trekker hoodies and a summit hoodie - different beasts.

The summit hoodie isn't reversible but has vents and the pockets are at a higher lever - I wear mine all winter over a merino top.

The trekker hoodies are better for a breezy (non winter) day.

Summit hood is far better than the trekker's.
