Chris, as no one else has answered... I'm sure they would be ok for both, but then I don't ski. My son had the earlier version, which he's used for serious mountain stuff - very pleased with them. ME gear is generally very good.
Re waterproof, windproof and warm: anything waterproof will be windproof, within reason. Given the very thin nature of any waterproof material used in our sort of activities, you won't get much warmth from it! The exception perhaps being Paramo Cacadas, but I don't find them completely windproof, though pretty close. But they are extremely comfortable, and very breathable. And they come in lots of sizes.
