My daughter is going on a World Challenge trip to Cambodia and Vietnam and I need to get her a sleeping bag.

I,ve looked at the climate and it doesn't ever seem to get cold, but is going to be humid.

I reckon a lightweight synthetic bag is the way to go, but all my previous searching has been for down bags for use in this country, so I'mnot very au-fait with the synthetic bags.

Any pointers in the right direction would be most appreciated.

Gary

No experience of it, but the Mountain Equipment Starlight Micro looks like it could be ok.

As low as thirty quid, too.

what about this:

Snugpak Travelpak Lite Sleeping Bag

The Snugpak Travelpak Lite Sleeping Bag offers a micro pack size sleeping bag as well suited to fair-weather UK backpacking as to exploring warmer, more exotic climes.

The high wicking Tactel lining of the Xtreme Sleeping Bag ensures a comfortable night's sleep even in humid conditions.

I'll look at those for starters, thanks.

By the way, can anyone tell me where that bl@@dy advert came from on my first post, and how to get rid of it?

Left click on the highlited word. A box will open. Click on the ? mark. Another box will open.  Click on disable.

I'm assuming that's it, because i can't see anything. Mine is disabled.

2nd vote for a lightweight Snugpak from me, but this one has a built in mozzy net - extremely valuable IMHO:

Snugpak Jungle Bag Sleeping Bag

"The Snugpak Jungle Bag Sleeping Bag is a bag for tropical conditions that packs smaller than a coconut and weighs a mere 750 g.

The particular specification of Travelsoft insulation was chosen for the Jungle Bag Sleeping Bag for its performance in hot, clammy conditions and the fact that this square-foot sleeping bag can be opened up into a quilt gives this sleeping bag very useful added versatility when travelling.

The Jungle Bag comes complete with a concealed rollaway mosquito net which can be zipped over the face, sealing the sleeping bag not only from mosquitoes but from all manner of other insects."

Only £31.74 from here:
