I just got some Karrimor Coniston boots from the above mentioned for the price of the above mentioned at the Liverpool branch and couldn't leave em on the shelf. My question is should I proof them before use or what? I've got some old Nikwax in a tin, is this safe to use or do I need water based? Ta.
