hi all, am looking for a north face down coat for my better half and hoping someone out there can help. she wants either the metropolis parka or caroline versions and they have to be in black for work purposes and a size 10. have trawled all over the internet and cant find anywhere that has them in stock, any help much appreciated, regards les
Could be tricky this - we're heading into 'summer' in outdoors shop terms rather soon (reasonably enough actually) and TNF, along with most other people, might well have stopped making a fair bit of their down stuff a little bit back.
So it'll likely be a matter of finding someone with remaining stock. The shops can seem to take being seasonal a bit seriously at times but I think its justified with down
The good news is that anything you do find might be on sale. You might want to try contacting TNF directly to see if they know of any stock.
If you're not fixed on TNF then this is a similar sort of idea with a fair bit of sizes in stock. Synthetic insulation not down but 170 g/m2 of primaloft is going to be warm. Better in rainy weather than down stuff too actually (and easier to wash.).
