Hi All, I'm new to this forum, hope you pros out there can give me some sound advice!
I'm Kevin, a 26yr old scottish hill goat, with experience in Scottish grade III/IV and Alipine climbing in New Zealand grade IV/V.
Sleeping Bag:
I am a great fan of Rab products and wishing to purchase some equipment for a trip to Elbrus in June , I need some advice on purchasing a new sleeping bag, I see Rab have a new range of sleeping bags, which i am not so familiar with! which one would suit my needs best on Elbrus? I will also be taking a trip to Alpamayo in Peru in July, so the bag should be suited to 6000mtr . What other brands can be recommended?
Boots:
I own a pair of La Sportiva Nepal Extreme boots, which i love, I have wore them on extensive trips and never had any problems with them, This trip to Elbrus and Alpamayo will be a new altitude record for me, so my question is are they suitable for the conditions I will be facing? If not which product can be recommended?
Mitts:
And last but not least, which mitts would perform best? OR research Alti mitts look toasty as do Rab Expedition mitts and Rab modular mitts.
Many thanks for your time and co-operation people,
any other advice and suggestions for Equipment and tips on Elbrus would be much appreciated.
Kevin
