Here's something i've often wondered why no company makes, I think you'd have to be a proper titaniumoholic to want a bottle made out of the stuff, It's understandable to have stoves and pots made of titanium as there's nothing else that'll do the job that comes close to Ti for lightness & strength. For bottles there's plastic.

Totally agree, but a lot of people love there siggs and i'd have thought titanium would make them even stronger and yet lighter, prob twice the price but must be a market there somewhere. Not saying i would buy one, i tend to just use free bottles you get with shop drinks or a nalgene, find siggs a bit of a pain to use.

I do love my alu bottles! They can be thrown around and take lot's of abuse. I prefer a bottle over a drinking system. To my liking a normal bottle mouth guzzles still the contents in the best way into my mouth. The bottle hangs on my backpack in such a way I can easily grab it and place it back again after drinking. No hassle with biting on a silicon valve while sucking, drying drinking tubes and cleaning tubes. So Titanium bottles would have my interest directly, always interested in some weight saving withoul losing functionality

..... So Titanium bottles would have my interest directly, always interested in some weight saving withoul losing functionality At £60 a pop?!!! Surely there are better ways to spend that kind of money and save some weight?

you might want to go to the site and press buy, there just trying to get an idea if there's much interest, you wont get billed, it comes up as free and your under no obligation to purchase.

always interested in some weight saving withoul losing functionality Know what you mean about Alu bottles (I like my ol' Sigg as well) but OTOH Plastic bottles are just as functional....and light.......and cheap.

Meh. A plastic bottle will always do me fine.

I'd certainly buy one - if only it was compatible with my £60 'personal hydration flow rate meter computer' Camelbak thing! An excellent use of cash that......I am surprised they have not noticed the obvious business synergies and gone straight into production.

plastic for summer---sigg for winter---doubles as hot water bottle----getting soft as i get older and colder

Alpkit of someone should make them - probably end up about 1/2 the cost Titanium would have a benefits - yes it is costly but probably would not need a lining like a Sigg.

For the same thickness - probably yes - but titanium is a lot stronger so could probably be made thinner. My main aim was avoiding the requirement for a liner.
