Anybody tried these vacuumed packed meals?

How are they different from the other Mountain House taste wise? Looking to save some space.

I ate around 30 of the usual ones last year and they were all great apart from the Jamaican chicken and peas..... gross!
Cheers

I believe the theory is that for (very) high altitude use vacuum packs won't expand whereas others may. Never heard it reported in practice though.

In terms of space, I find that the vacuum packed meals are actually harder to pack because they are rock-hard unusual shapes. Normal packed meals pack easier as they will mould to the space you have.

Anyways, the pro packs are not available in UK: the Mountain House meals sold here are manufactured in the UK (and don't include Jamaican Chicken and Peas!).

Cheers Chris,
I thought I''d seen pro-pak in Snow and rock but a quick google tells me I'm wrong! Anyway I was 'thinking' of swapping my usual Mountain house for the Pro-pak versions while in the US. Will probably try a couple and see what there like. The bloating in this case won't be an issue.

Phew, probably banned them from importing it.... I'm really telling you it was disgusting despite me being ravenous!
Cheers

If you are coming back from the US and have any room in your pack I'll take as many MH Beef Stroganoffs as you can fit in
