I have to mention and rave about the great service I have received from <!-- w -->www.ultralightoutdoorgear.co.uk<!-- w -->

I lost my titanium pan-lid on a recent trip, which I bought a fews years ago from them.

I emailed them to see if they could get me a replacement one (and with details of getting it to me in Glencoe after a certain date, as I go back to Scotland again, and would like it for that trip if possible), they emailed me back to say they would get one on their next order with Vargo, when I emailed them back to ask how much it would be, this is their reply:-

It is very unlikely that it will arrive before you leave, but if it arrives in time to be posted to the Glencoe Hostel for your arrival on 16 October we will arrange for that to happen. Failing that, we will simply post it to your home address. There is no charge, it is all part of the service.

No postage as well, fantastic service!

I'd like to second the praise for ultralightoutdoorgear. I've always had prompt replies to e-mails - at most the next day, but also some replies within an hour.

However, as a non-uk resident (in Turkey), there is one feature of the company that I wish others would imitate. If you want to find exactly what you will pay for something, just click buy, then on the next page choose your country of residence and click update, and you're given the exact price you'll pay, with shipping added and VAT removed (if appropriate). No need to log in, no need to fill in billing/shipping addresses. It's the only site I know that does this. And best of all, the shipping costs are incredibly cheap. In fact, the shipping cost of the last things I bought was less than the price of the stamp on the package!

For anyone resident outside the UK, this is an essential site to look at. Just wish I'd found it before buying a new tent!

Yes, you may be right, but their prices are pretty competative anyway. What I meant on this occation, was that the "free" replacement also had free postage!

Well well.

I have to say the same. i bought a tent of them afew months ago. It blew down, one of the webbing straps ripped. I wasn't happy with the tent and didn't want a replacement.

Thinking a credit note at best would be offered ; or a more likely  fix under warranty & like it or lump it.

I was rather shocked as they phone me as soon as they got it back offering a refund and my return postage.

They also sent an e-mail say how sorry the were and hoped my relationship with them wasn't damaged!!!

WTF!!!

Top job.

They managed to get hold of an MSR shelter for me that was from next seasons range and wasn't even on general uk sale. They held the price to the model it was replacing and then apologised to say it was going to take a day longer than their normal delivery time.

I'd definitely use them again.

Another satisfied customer here. Mark is very good at replying to email queries.

The package tracking system is very good as well through Hermes

I'd like to echo the plaudits. My order and (ordering process <--- very important, for me, and something that many online companies could simplify) couldn't have gone any better. Excellent. I'll be using them again.
