Hey guys,

Needing a new pack around 30l, have done a fair bit of research and totally confused as to what I should go for.

The pack will be used daily for the cycle to work, weekends on the hills, the occasional long distance walk or trail, not asking much am I?!

Narrowed it down to the Talon 22, Atmos 35 and Manta 30.

Tried on a Talon in the shop and it felt good but maybe a little tight for what I'm wanting space wise, can't find anywhere in Glasgow that stocks the Atmos and heard the Manta is uncomfortable for walking.

Kinda got my heart set on an Osprey of some sort but open to offers. Anyone got any experience of any of these bags? Any advice would be much appreciated.

Why not the talon 33 if the 22 seems tight ?
I have the old model atmos 35 and to be honest it seems much larger than my mates' talon 33. I wouldn't use it as a general sack outside the hills - too big.
Kestrel 28 is a nice sack too.

I've got a Talon 22, it's a lovely sack but I think you'd definitely find it 'tight' for some of the activities you're wanting to use it for. Rod's right - have a look at the Talon 33; it's got the same back and fit as the 22.

I tried the Talon 33 with my helmet on and it felt as if it would restrict my head when looking up, may have to give it another go, you guys have any similar experience?

My pals got the Kestrel I like it but it feels massive considering it only holds 28l

Actually, looking at the new Ellis brigham catalog, the new stratos bags look a better choice, lower profile ,not to interfere with a helmet when cycling.

Cheers Rod, I'd like to know if the Atmos felt uncomfortable on a bike due to the internal frame, or given the hunched riding position whether it was ok? I could always go for the large 25?
