Looks overspecced & heavy to me. At over 19oz it's heavier than my wetproof.

I use a plastig bag.... cheap and light

It looks very nice, very well finished. But your project was, in fact, a wallet; I believe they have been made before. If the 'cuben bit' was to shed weight, may I suggest: - Remove 5 of the 6 cards, wrap a £20 note (allow for individual variations) around the remaining card and shove it in a small sandwich bag.

I shall be less curmudgeonly. It looks great, and while a plastic bag with 20 notes and 1 card is fine for a quick trip from the car, when travelling by public transport, particularly on a longer trip abroad, you do need a lot of plastic with you and it's a faff if all you have is a plastic bag.
Credit card, debit card, drivers license, YHA-I card, foreign currency, phone card, insurance card.
I'd like one closable pocket for coins ideally.

Hi nicknick, plastic bag is not as durable as cuben, however it is lot cheaper then cuben For myself, i do need little bit of slots for the cards, i live in hong kong has many cards got to carrys, ATM, Credit cards x2, ID, driving ID, Octopus (=UK Oyster Card ), Home main gate card and insurance card.

no wonder you need a cuben fibre wallet if you are carrying an octopus around with you in all fairness, looks nice (the wallet, not the octopus)

 |
... plastic bag is not as durable as cuben,
Not wishing to be awkward but have you tested the durability? I wouldn't worry about the cuben itself except where it is weakened along the lines of stitches. Stuffing things in and out of a wallet will put a strain on the stiching which may then tear out of the cuben. I hope I'm wrong about this - looks a very neat job.

Gorilla glue might be the answer to the stitching problem

That's nice, there's quite a bit of work involved by the look of it but the seams are very tidy. Looks cool too, much nicer than the Ductii wallets that were knocking around a while back.

I shall be less curmudgeonly Go on then.

i do think abt using glue, but it kind of messy and really need a good skill, as if press too hard the glue will squeezed in and out so the slot compartment may not be even. use double side tape will increase the edge thickness. So i think stitch may be the only way to do.

i carry things in my pockets. i have never had a wallet. i have a small credit card sized holder for...erm...credit cards and items of such shape. if i lose the card holder i haven't lost everything. things are usualy in a small nylon drawcord bag which will be in my pack or a different pocket. but...tis a neat looking wallet though. may i suggest a couple of design features. a loop so you can attach it to the inside of your pack/key clip so it can't fall out and others will find it difficult to steal. a fob to put over the cards to stop them falling out.
