Call for Gear Testers

Hi

Seems to me that there are a lot of folks in this forum interested in gear and playing with new gear.

BackpackGearTest.org is always on the look out for gear testers and yes we do test gear internationally and yes we are interested in UK testers, hence this posting. You don't have to be an expert on gear; we are always looking for a range of testers with a range of experiences for the gear we test. It is part of the reason why we have 3 to 5 units of each item up for test.

That said, gear testing the BGT way does take some effort, but then you get to put together good reports on interesting gear and you get to keep the gear at the end of the test period! What more could you ask for?

If you are interested, please check out our webpages at http://BackpackGearTest.org and more specifically our "How to Become a Tester" support docs at http://www.backpackgeartest.org/lesson.php?lesson=BecomeTester&page=1.

BackpackGearTest.org also runs a mentor program which teams up interested new folks with experience testers to help you get into the groove at BGT.

So there is a lot of support there if required.

Please consider

If you want more details or have questions please by all means ask away. My email address can be found in my profile.

I've only ever tested a couple of items before & doing it regulary sounds like hell to me. I take my polypro hat off to Chris Townsend & the like who are constantly testing gear. I hate replacing gear for the same reasons. I love wearing/using/carrying stuff that I know works & that I'm familier with so prefer to find out what other people think of new gear or see it in action myself. Testing gear, for me, would distract from my pleasure.

My thanks to all you gear testers out there!

Hi

Thanks Drew for hotlinking the URL ... meant to do that before I posted the call.

Thanks Spiritburner for your support.

Take care

However Backpack Gear Test still exists and is one of the few independent review sites around.
