Hello,

Anyone know of a shop in the manchester/warrington area that stock Walsh shoes, name the Peak/lite maybe even the Enforcer boots.

I've had a looky on their web site for list of stockist but as always with these piggin list they've out of date Grr. I know i can buy them online for about £45 but unsure what size to choose.

Thanks

I've just bought a pair of Enforcers from the sportshoes.com shop in Bradford. I normally take a size 11 but to get a comfortable fit with them i got a size 12.
I was interested in some other Walsh boots in the Pete Bland sale before christmas and was advised that perhaps I ought to get half a size bigger. I did not go ahead as like you I wanted to try the things on.
Walsh are a Bolton firm, do they not have a factory shop? That would be in the greater Manchester area.

I have been wearing Inov's size 11.5 but find they are a little tight across the forefoot and a little shallow in the heel cup, I can wear them for a day but any more and I'm having a little to much heat in some areas. So, I spoke to Walsh recently and they were very helpful, I made up my mind on a pair of size 11 Enforcer boots, which arrived yesterday and appear to fit my feet very well, tomorrow they get their fist day out.

Thanks Nick, I will take a trip to Bradford maybe on Friday if not working.

@MM I've also have some Terroc's great shoes...apart from the very poor durability of the sole. Would buy more Inov8 shoes if only they adjust the rubber compound to increase the last-ability.

Also tried the Scarpa Epic (odd sizing) too much foam padding which for me ends up rubbing, and becomes uncomfortable after about 3 hours .

thanks again

Pk If you do go to Bradford have a good look round the shop before deciding, there is a big selection of trail shoes including mizuno wave harriers, which in other threads OMers seem to think are better than Innov8's. No experience myself I've enough footwear already.

Hello

Got some of those Walsh Enforcer on friday from the Bradford shop £45 size 10.5. Oh and never seen so many fancy trainers !

Anyways first impressions after 10km walk across muddy fields, trail and woodland tracks abit of road too is. I like them, comfy, grippy and fit well. I also found that the tread didn't get clogged up in mud when walking across fields unlike my other boots.

So, so far so good.

Yes another vote for Mizuno wave harriers 2, wider that terrocs.

so far have done in them, TGO challenge 2009, (2 weeks)

Alta via 1 (italian alps,2 weeks),

and walk in them on weekend hikes quite often, and run in them when the forest trails are real muddy.

still quite a lot of tread on them for a couple of more years easily. and nice agressive grip.
