Since I don't particularly care for the tone of some of the above comments and just to clarify the situation, in as much as I am part of Tarptent financially it only makes any difference to me if you buy the tent in Australia...In other words I was just pointing out some differences.Mrs NesbittThe point of the Hogback is to have the lightest fully bugproof shelter that can actually sleep 4 adults.That at TT means 4 x 185cm tall adults on a 7cm mat. As a bonus it also has a very small footprint, in fact I do not know how it could be any smaller offering the same usable internal space.As a comparison the Hogback has a footprint of about 4.8 sq meters (plus guylines) the Shangri La 5 is about 8.4 square meters.Of course not everybody has those requirements, but it works for the ones that do.(the drawings above are to scale)Franco

OK, I'll play...Lets pretend that you are dad in a family of four. Guess who is going to carry the tent ?Now a sub 2kg tent that stores 20cm wide 51cm long may not sound too bad..Now lets also pretend that you are stuck in there for a rainy afternoon. Having one person in each corner with plenty of space in the middle for a board game may also not sound too bad.Maybe if you watch my video you will get a better idea of what it looks like in reality. But yes it was designed to be a family tent, I would not even contemplate being stuck inside a tent with another 3 adults...(BTW if you are thinking "tarp" the Hogback is a 2 wall tent, Tarptent is just the brand not the specific product...)Franco
