anyone know of a supplier of soles to retread some old approach shoes(or boots). its not worth me sending them off to lsr or such like as the uppers would probably split before its new base wears out, it would also cost around £50 with all that postage.
i think grinding off wots left of the old bottoms and shoo goo'ing some replacements on... i cant see it being that difficult.... what is differcult is trying to find a supplier.
Try ypur local cobbler - he may be willing to order up a pair and sell them on as a DIY project for you
but
dont underestimate the technicalities of resoling - after all, if it was that easy, dont you think there would be a number of "how to resole..." threads on here?
did think of that grumpy but had hoped theres a direct outlet somewhere....
as for it being hard, have you seen those monkeys in Timpsons...? theres afew youtube videos on it , i have a table grinder and vice. some glue. be alrite i reckon.
