i bought a  laser  competition for £ 140 from file and trek  which was a great price for a great tent .I read somewhere that the  very thin titanium pegs you get with the tent you can use to peg out the elastics and use normal titanium candy canes for the guys.

i haven't got that much faith in the pegs you get with the laser comp ,so i am asking to see what other owners use.i use all titanium candy canes at the moment

Just use the one peg for the inner elastic and for the fly outer.

I use these babies that came with my Crux bomb

and only 9grm each and very strong...

I bought my Laser Comp. second hand, it came with a set of Tikes from Alpkit:

 Tikes

I take these with the original toothpicks and use a combination of the two.

a tad heavy dont ya think and not as strong ... saying that you probably just use them because the rope matches your shirts...

I find it worth carrying a few of the Clamcleats alu Y pegs for key guying points, plus some Vargo ti shepherds crook-type pegs. The latter do weigh a horrendous 6g, but have a bit of holding power and don't get lost anywhere like as easily as the silly pegs supplied with the Laser Comp.

I got the Comp in the F&T deal a few weeks ago, the pegs are a joke for anything less than a bowling green lawn. I've switched mine for Alpkit Tikes
