you mentioned fit so it's unlikely anyone would be able to comment as they won't be you shaped.
if weight is an issue then the patti. if it's not then then the rohan - i just prefer it and i like pockets in things.
it's a jacket. what faff is there?
neither have a double ended zip and so i wouldn't buy either for that reason as i like to keep the jacket done up in the middle for ventilation and access to trouser pockets.
the rohan feels more breathable - difficult to describe really but a guess based on experience.
I would agree with Parky. I have a Windshadow and where it scores over all sorts of alternatives for light windproof protection is it has useful pockets. Pockets for your hands (I like those, I get cold hands), a pocket big enough for an OS map and an internal one if you want to keep a 'phone or whatever handy. And while those pockets are handy they also add a little to the weight. But it needs to be emphasized we're not talking major weighthere!
Pack level is about three times that for a Montane Featherlight. Which has no pockets, no hood, just a neck zip and the fabric is frankly not so nice. And again, 3 times bugger all is still not much. The Featherlight goes in as a "just in case", but if it's summery and windy and I know I'll probably want windproofing most/all of the day I'd take the 'Shadow.
I've been very pleased with my Windshadow. Good bit of kit. I've been trying to write an OM review of it for a while, but despite a request it doesn't "Officially" exist to rate.
