Seen your fleece in the TGO issue. The really warm one costing £80. Best buy too. Was tempted until I saw the Shroud, hooded fleece next to it at £80 and also best buy. Now I have a decision. Ultra warm or slightly more practical for my needs because of lower warmth levels and a hood. Now if only one was on offer somewhere!! EDZ is one of those companies that interest me but I don't know anyone who has their gear so yet to gain confidence. I was like that with golite but now I see their gear everywhere so have no qualms about buying. Do you do a slightly lighter weight fleece with thumbholes? Kind of like your cold climate yeti fleece but not as warm so you can walk in it without sweating buckets. Any plans to make something like that??

We do a microfleece but it has no thumbloops Im affraid. However, just to point out the RRP on a Yeti is £50 and they are reduced again on our sister companies wbsite: www.thermalshop.com and in the Keswick shop (but still no cake)

Just seen your site. Noticed the price error in TGO. £50 is a real bargain. Been in your shop before but not needed anything so left empty. now I do need (sorry want) a few more options in base layers, hats, gloves and possibly warm, post walk fleece. Reckon I might make a detour to Keswick sometime soon. One piece of gear I do like the sound of are wrist warmers. I know others on this site use or recommend them. I'd have thought that sort of niche item would be good for EDZ to make and sell. I've heard that they are becoming more popular from climbers who don't want to wear gloves (not winter obviously) and for winter climbers too to help with warmth when wearing gloves. Got that from a company that does trips to the greater ranges. I have only seen them sold in two places before now so not easy to get hold of. Ever thought of them??

We do make a lot of products based on customer feedback and requests. We recently had an in-stire vote to decide Merino Boxers or Merino Briefes for this winter. Boxers won. Your suggestion will be considered. It was a similar suggestion that brought about the EDZ "Light thermal Helmet liner" http://www.thermalshop.co.uk/product/helmet_liner_light_thermal We have just started to do fingerless Merino Liner gloves, which keep the wrist and hand warm but still give great dexterity for fastening up crampons or texting worried partners. All our new Merino baselayers are longer in the arm to keep the wrists warmer too. If you call in mention OM too!

Any chance that the Merino Boxer shorts will be coming down?

"One piece of gear I do like the sound of are wrist warmers." There's a discount shop in Penrith called Elliotts that has a basket full of Wristies fleece wrist warmers on offer at about £2 a pair. No discernible difference in functionalty between them and the Marmet ones that cost about £15.

Aren't wristwarmers just socks with the toe bit cut off....? Roos

Any chance that the Merino Boxer shorts will be coming down? Only if you get lucky Ed!!

Aclima also do some. Think I also saw some neoprene ones somewhere. Could cut off the hand parts of my old neoprene pogies to get wristies. Use neoprene gloves for kayaking these days so not using them now. I have noticed this season has brought out more mid or winter base layer fleeces come out with thumb loops. Last winter stock didn't have that many but this year I have seen quite a few out there now. Same with wristies. never seen any in shops in the past but now have seen the Marmot pair in a few shops and another make in another shop (can't remember the make or the shop now. Think I will make a trip to keswick at the weekend to check out the EDZ shop. I might well mentions OM too. I think Muz is actually called Murray. Am I correct?

The Boxers are £24.99, which is pretty good for 100% Superfine Merino. The problem with most wristies I have seen is that they dont fit snug enough on the palm and around the thumb so they are really uncomfortable when you put gloves on. Someone does some Pwerstretch ones (think it mightme Mountain Hardware), and Im pretty sure Clairs Accessories do rainbow wristies!! I may be bias but our Seamless Merino Fingerless gloves are the biz for extra warmth. Yes, my real name is Murray, but Muz is much faster to spell!
