I got the Neutrino for christmas and it came with a stuff sack,i have just come back from scotland too and it has got to be said,"This jacket is toasty"!!

IT is toasty indeed keeps me warm on the winter crags.

The jacket is brilliant - as for the stuff sack I suggest buying those waterproof things as any stuff sack I have ever met is totally not waterproof

and another thing - stick it in the waterproof bag thing and its a perfect pillow

Thought all your Rab devotess might be interested to learn that next season the Neutrino Endurance outer will change again and be much more similar to the 2005 version than the version they ran this Winter. Also, as the fill process in China never quite reached the exacting standards of Sheffield, the shells will now be produced in China and then they will be shipped to the UK to be filled in Sheffield. This way, the fill content and the loft will not be compromised. It's looking good. I've also seen the rest of the range for 2006/07 so if you have any questions, I'll be happy to try and help.

can anyone Qualify the strength of the pertex on the Rab Neutrino endurance Jacket, it has a plastic bag feel to it.

Thanks

Hi Ian,

I can't qualify or vouch for the strength of the outer shell on this years model however, I have no doubt that Rab would not jeapordise their reputation by putting soemthing out into the market if it was not OK. That said, I also know that Rab themselves were not 100% happy with the texture of the fabric hence the proposed switch for 06/07.

Cool Pertex is pertex i guess, i just dont what a mouth full of feathers the second it touches rock. i can be quite careless:o

Also is there meant to be more feathers in the chest region. its a Males Size Small. it just gives the impression of a extended chest:)

But for £116 Iam very happy with it for my frist feather jacket.

How do you no so much about rab, Paul, may i ask :)

Guys, i'm trying to ascertain the difference (and by that i mean an ascertainable difference as opposed to what they say on the site) between the summit and the neutrino i'd appreciate your thoughts. Is one warmer than the other or much the same (i see one is 220g of 96/4 and the other 250g's of 90/10)? If both are much the same aren't yuou better off with the summit given it has better water resistance? Or is it a question of weight/stuffability? And, wait for it, should i go for the waterproof summit storm given it has the same down filling?

Is the summit extreme too warm?
