Hi:
I'm planning on walking the Offa's Dyke Path next year and I am looking for a sleepin bag which packs small and light that will function well in Feb/March. My budget is around the £100 mark but I'll pay a little bit more if I have to.
I'm also looking for a 2-man tent for the same trip (same qualities needed - budget for this is up to £200).
Any ideas?

 These are possibly the two most commonly asked questions on this forum, and I'm afraid people do get bored with answering them repeatedly. Do a quick search through old threads on this site though, and you should find the information you want very quickly.

 Jason, as far as tents go, I'm not sure wether you want to hang on until the 2005 ranges appear, if so, then some to consider would be the very impressive 'Tempest' range from Vango. They come in 150 (1-2 person), 200 (2 - person) and 300 (3 very good friends!). rrp's I think are £90, £110 & £130 respectively.
Another to consider from Vango is the TBS Spirit Lite at £200.
BTW, don't be put off asking for advise, thats what forums are for after all.

Check out the Golite Feather at Hikelite.co.uk (link on right). It's half price so it comes in at £89.50. Should be ok for Feb/March.
MSR Missing Link looks interesting as a trekking pole supported tent. I like the look of the big awning which would allow door to be left open in rain. Another sub 2kg two man tent is the Golite Den which has been used successfully in the Pyrenees. Both are single skin which might put you off but remember that condensation problems cannot be avoided even in a two skin tent. I would pay careful attention to venting options when choosing.

Jason, Take a look at the snugpak sleeping bags, also terra nova tents, in particular the solar 2.
I bought both based on advice
and information supplied by OM members, not been disappointed with either.
As Glyn said, just ask. If it bores people they won't bother posting but I have found the vast majority of members to be very helpful and tolerant.

 I would use the Terra Nova Voyager and the Rab Quantum 400, but you'll be very lucky to find them for under £500 in total. But they will do the business better than anything you can find or imagine, especially the Rab.

 I bought a RAB Summit Alpine 300 no zip £140 and use all year round with a good set of themals and thermarest. Packs up tiny and light.

 I'm putting a Rab Quantum 200 and a Vango TBS Micro 200 on ebay at some point this week. Both new, never been used. Keep your eyes peeled. :o)

 Hi Jason
Try Vango for good quality sleping bags and my recommendation for tents would be either a Terra Nova Laser or a 2 man Lightwave, both of which can be found for under £200.

go for the me sleepwalker 2 (£90) and for a tent a vaude taurus 2 £160 and lots of room

have been using TNF Tadpole 23- very good and has stood up to some pretty windy and cold conditions in the breckon beacons. weighs just over 2kg when packed, and fairly snug for two (not a bad thing though...).
not sure about sleeping bag in that budget. I use a marmot Hydrogen (£165 if you shop around) which ahs been fantastic. whichever bag you choose, budget for a therma-rest as they make sleeping a doddle.

 Terra Nova's website has a factory shop that sells seconds and ex-demo gear. I got my laserlite from there and it was in perfect nick for about £170.
I'm a real fan of Terra Nova tents since an Icelandic storm flattened everything on the campground apart from the Quasars - none of which belonged to me. For a three season two man tent I'd say the Laser, for something for all year use the Voyager.
