Hi guys,
Need to buy a new headlight and would very much appreciate any advice/experiences of the BD supernova or petzl myo5. Even better would be if someone has used both and could give me a direct comparison.

Thanks for your time,
MAT

My money is always on Petzl - they have been the market leaders for years for a good reason - they make tough / bomb proof gear and my experince of BD is that I see far more customer returns in my store.

The choice of particular model depends on your needs / activities but the MYO is a great all rounder with LED and bulb options

Mat, I have the Petzl Myo5 belt and the light is fantastic. You can wear the battery pack on your belt or put it in your pocket, conserving battery life in very cold climates. A bit heavier than some but the quality is worth it.

Oh! and field & Trek are doing a good deal at the moment.

The Petzl Myolite wins the review in this months, January 2005, issue of TRAIL.
