I am looking for a down jacket for the nuclear winter of the leeds and for sitting around in the evening in the himalayas. I have made a short list of the ME Lightline and something from RAB. I have been looking at the Summit, Andes and Neutrino Endurance, but I can't really tell the difference between them. The Andes' seems to have more down and is heavier, but is 300g really worth worrying about? Is it warmer? Does anybody have any ideas? Which would be most appropriate to my needs?

There is another thread somewhere with the exact same question.

I bought the Summit over a year ago. It was a difficult choice between all the jackets out there. But for me the summit just edges it for durability, fantastic removable hood and instant warmth.

I like the Neutrino Endurance as well, its a great jacket, packs down very small.

Not an easy choice.
