I wore my spanky new SM lites this weekend and they were ace, comfy straight out of the box and no blisters or rubs.

However they have pretty much trashed a pair of laces already, is this a common Salomon problem or do I have rogue lace munchers?

i've a pair of pro trek 6's with the lace locking system and have had no probs with them. hope it helps

Two pairs of Salomon boots (supermountain 8s and the protreks like hedley) and never a munched lace. HTH

Darn, I seem to have a rogue muncher....
Yep I've got a pair of SM Lites, no great problems with the laces except that the solid tags at the end of the lace (must be a name for it)are splitting making it harder to re-thread after cleaning my boots.

On my experts they just seem to keep coming undone.

I got SM 9 Guides when they came out some years ago, they nearly crippled me even after sustained attempts to crush my feet into their shape.
However, to this day I carry the laces from them in my sack as spares.

Yeah Mark, you're not alone mate!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mine munched their laces in extra quick time indeed,,,, WEIRD!!!!!!!!!

Been fine since i changed to Yachty string,, its good, & just alter the laces every now & then so they don't wear on the same spot all the time. You only need to pull them through a few milliletres to a fresh spot.

My troubles are way beyond laces though,, wish it was only the laces that were gone on mine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Me soles are falling off after only a very gentle 7 months, no mountains, no ice, no abuse at all. Unreal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!    Very disappointed as i love them to bits!!!!!!!!!
