My 18 month old daughter has chewed off the page button from my etrex GPS! I have tried to superglue it back, but does anyone know if they can be repaired?

yep they can James and Garmin are great at replacing and mending units. Get in touch with their uk depot and they should help. The once repaced a unit which had been droped while caving, why anyone should take a gps undergroung is beyond me but they replaced it anyway!

I smashed the screen glass on my eTrex Summit and have just sent it to Garmin for repair - they quoted £25 plus VAT, but said they'd contact me to arrange payment once they'd received the unit. I just packaged it up with a covering letter and sent it Special Delivery. The address / contact details are:

I haven't had the unit back yet, so can't comment on the speed / quality of service, but at least it seems something can be done!

Just received my gps back from Garmin. All in all, it took 7 days from me sending it to them, to receiving it back.

The service was excellent - they'd replaced the smashed glass screen, updated the software, put in a new set of batteries and couried it back to me...and didn't charge a thing for it!

Couldn't be more pleased with them. Ta very much, Garmin!

You don't get service like that too often these days... Now when I were a lad...
