has anybody got a pair of this years sealskinz gloves.im thinking of getting a pair for snowdonia next weekend.ive just been reading reviews of older models and it seems that they are not very waterproof.i was hoping to use them for a bit of scrambling up tryfan thinking the rubber grip and tight fit would be good.(and the price sounds nice too!!! £25.00)

I've not got them, though I've tried a pair on.

I'm surprised to hear that older models weren't waterproof - I thought the thing about Sealskinz was that they *are* waterproof. I had some reservations about how comfy they would be, but I only tried them very quickly in a shop.

Yep. Got a pair, and theyre waterproof, if a little cold. Although I think Sealshinz sound like a dodgy rip-off!

I've bought a pair and just need to try them. As for warmth, I plan on using a pair of thinnies underneath

Sealshinz - lol! Waterproof gaiters, perhaps? :-)

Yeh, I've got a pair of sealskinz gloves which I use for scrambling with, work ok for me.

As Evil D say's stick a pair of thinnies under if it gets cold.

The original, thin black sealskins are waterproof, very sweaty and offer very little thermal protection imo. Not very durable either. Plus side is they pack very small. Personally I wouldn't recommend them.

Sealskins have newer stuff too, gloves and mittens that are (much) warmer (I've not tried these though).
