Source sandals are so comfortable. They have minimal design bulk and are completely adjustable. I am stricken with "surfers knob" and a very prominent heel bone. Naturally I wear socks with sandals as I don't care about appearance, only function, when I tramp.
I have worn so many brands e.g. Adidas and sometimes the adjustment mechanisms conflect with bones in the foot. Of course the Source sandal doesn't do this otherwise it wouldn't be the best. Another feature of them is that the back strap doesn't slip down as some brands have been known to do. We customize the fit then ducttape down 2 of the 3 adjustable straps as we only need to undo 1 of the 3 straps after that.
The strapping of the Chinese sandal I'm wearing now (Toread) are just wide enough in the foot when worn with bulky socks. If I was going to buy another sandal, I'd contact the Source distributor here in New Zealand and get some imported but these 3 pairs of Toread will do for the next 2 years at $60 total for them all.
Apparently one in three Israelis wear Source sandals so they must suit quite a few shapes of foot when you consider this may exclude kids and older folk.
