It's early in the morning and I have to get the first train out of town to be sure of getting to Corsica today. I'm taking both my Tilley Hat and Buff on the GR20. If this thread is still alive and kicking in a month's time I'll tell you about both of them.

Tilley hats are great, and there is a very nice lightweight one now as well. The important thing about a hat is the brim - it gives you a lot more all round sun protection (literally), and it keeps the rain off nicely too.

It's horses for courses - or headwear for occassions!
I took both my Tilley and my 2 Buffs to Spain with me. I used them both; at different times and also together.

I can turn mine into all the variations as well, even looking a complete pirate at times!!!

Its like buying sunglasses:-
Always get someone else to tell you if they (or it),really suit you. (Sir).

One thing I really don't like about my Tilley is I always afraid of losing it. Never have that worry with a Buff. A Buff keeps the sweat outta your eyes
