Hi there
A lovely child put a knife through my brand new Terra Nova Ultra Quasar last weekend, and I need to use it for a month in the Hebrides in two weeks time.

Terra Nova say they can't do it in that time, so I need to get someone good to do it (preferably in London) before the 24th.

Any numbers/ideas?

Jack, I don't know about places in or around London but Scottish Mountain Gear might be worth talking to.

They offer a 2 day turn-around, albeit for a price.

Spinnaker tape for a temporary repair? Depends on where the hole is. If it's likely to be under tension, then tape may not be the answer, especially in hot weather when the adhesive may creep. Of course, you could take a roll of tape and repeat the 'repair'.

I'd guess that the permanent fix would be a replacement of the cut panel, rather than a patch. I which case, you could probably sew the two sides of the hole up yourself, again, depending on the position of the hole. Maybe worth asking TN what repair method they'd eventually use; i.e. is it okay for you to further damage the panel which will be replaced, or will this impeded a possible repair to the panel?
