My old Five.Ten Lynxes are comfortable. One thing no-one's said is that there are two basic shapes of rock shoe / boot. The diamond-toed ones, like, erm, Boreal Aces, which try to cram all your toes into a central pointy shape and asymetrical ones - lots from Five.Ten etc - which allow your big toe to lie flat down the side of your shoe. Which suits your foot best depends on your foot shape. Try different brands on etc.

Buy in the afternoon when your feet are a bit more swollen and go snug not tight. Bear in mind that on hot days and in hot places, your feet will swell even more. I have no idea why shop staff always try to sell you ridiculously tight boots, but at beginner level it's completely pointless and will just put you off climbing for ever...
