Hi,

I've just found OM and duly joined, just moved to Scotland and am surrounded by wonderful mtns and forests etc... So my partner & I would dearly like to take our 6mth old daughter out with us on weekend jaunts... and we're thinking of buying a Vango Champ baby / child carrier... May I ask whether anyone here has one and what they would say about it... - We haven't finally made up our minds yet, but this model does seem to fit our needs - we welcome any advice from any others that have 'passed this way before'...
I read already the topic discussions on carriers - and might be taken on a sling carrier - but would question what if it rains?
I see that a lot of the available carriers don't come with rain / sun covers as standard and that you have to buy them as extras... The Vango Champ is an exception, though so too is the Jack Wolfskin upper model...
We are unfortunately unable to find local shops with a good selection (Perth) So we can't 'try before we buy'...

Any pointers, comments would be appreciated.

Cheers

Tony.
