Its lebel reads as under

Wow.  Some of the regular users here are really pompous.  I came here looking for honest opinions and instead found several posters that are arrogant and paranoid.  Give me a break.  Do you really think Aldi is paying people to post gear reviews on "your" holy site?  Why would they do that when their stuff sells out every time they offer it?

The Crane cycling gear I've picked up this past year has been good quality.  I also buy name brand stuff (like Specialized) but I can't afford to buy brand name for every item.  The most helpful advice on this site... use your judgement when deciding if an item is quality or not.

I've purchased Crane cycling jerseys, pants, socks this past year but passed on the gloves and some other items.

One last bit of advice... if you haven't bought an item maybe you shouldn't comment just because you "think" it is cheap.  Actual user reviews will make this site more helpful.

Hi David.  I think you are missing the point.  In this thread there have been several posts praising this gear from people who are "known" on OM and whose opinions are respected. Positive views which just happen to be a first post would also normally be welcomed, but when the thread kicks off with a string of first timers with vaguely unlikely names all praising Crane then suspicions are roused.  The possibility that they are aimed at sales promotion for Crane (not Aldi, by the way) comes to mind.

Your second and third paragraph sound like good and welcome advice based on experience: your first and last paragraphs, especially in a first post, suggest that perhaps it isn't we who are the "pompous, arrogant and paranoid" ones.

I love my crane sports cycling soft shell,  its brilliant on the hills.

I own or have owned the so called top expensive soft shells, superhero, synchro, baltaro guide etc..

A lot of stuff is shit, but some is quite alright but due to the price you can buy it and then bin it!

You rotter Nick

in the recycling and rubbish world it's called `The Primark effect'. Buy something half decent and make it last. Saves it going for landfill.

Hi

I was wondering if the PR machine responsible for marketing Crane sports via social networking sites and forums clog up other sites with their monotonous drivel about the shite made by Crane or is it limited to this site?

I wish Aldi/Crane Sports would pay me for the posts I have made on the subject of their gear.  I must be doing something wrong in putting up posts about the value for money kit available from Aldi but not being paid.  Do you think that in I did the same for The North Face I would stand a better chance of being in the money.

I wasn't referring to anything you posted Ashley.  There are a lot of "one post wonders" about the Crane stuff; many of them commence:
