These are both the most expensive, and the best trousers I have ever bought. They are black goretex and have proved to be waterproof and breathable; there are side zips to reduce condensation, they have internal snow gaiters so you don't need to use separate gaiters, they are very stretchy and comfortable, and they have kevlar panels on the inside of each calf so you can't pierce yourself with your crampons. They also have braces so they don't fall down, and zips on the pockets. Cost £170 from Snells in Chamonix, worth every cent. Can you get Millet stuff in Britain?
